I didn't forget about ep. 1

Yo. I can see some amelioration, but the battle scenes are still lame. There's no point in a FF series if the battle scenes suck. Spend more time on them, as it is the key to a series' success.

And as for FFF, I don't consider it great; it's pathetically boring and slow. It's author has no excuse for using using 8-bit and 16-bit sprites together.

As weird as it may seem, motion tween is essential to sprite movies; you should try it.

RuffNTumble responds:

They weren't really battle scenes they were more like deaths. And battle is not the key element in a FF flash. I think it's characters and plot. I'd rather be pathetic boring and slow then some random fighting sequence.

And awfully clichéd, too.

Bleeer... your animation skills aren't the best I've seen. At least make the characters look like they're moving normally! You did not spend enough time on this. I might be wrong, but the file size seems too big; it maybe because you didn't optimize your sound file(s)?

How can this be so overrated..?

Nothing original nor impressive. It was a waste of my time. I don't know what to say; everytime I reviewed sprite movies, authors just ignored me and continued making horrible movies.

Samurais, ninjas, magic, whatever; you gotta add your personnal touch to make an original storyline and plot. Otherwise, it's just a waste of time.

AbboMan responds:

Do you think your opinion counts for so much that a person would stop doing something that they like just because you don't approve? How bout no

*wham!*

Buh? I didn't expect a flash about a violent trashcan to be so entertaining. Good use of blur, by the way. Long story short, I found the graphics very "attractive".

I was quite amazed, but...

Hmm it's a shame that the sprites were ripped from a game. I understand that you don't have time for anything else than animating (and living, of course). Nevertheless, the degree of quality shown in this movie is what I hope to expect from all sprite animators. (even if I know too damn well that will never happen)

I'm a big fan of Naruto as well as a sprite artist. I wanna create my own sprite sheets some time soon and animate them in Flash, but that won't happen until I finish my current project. ;(

It's my opinion, presented with facts.

I get tired pretty easily over sprite movies with a frame rate of 12. Try 24. Secondly, some scenes were laggy. That's not supposed to happen. I don't know what you did wrong, because your background is an image file, but my guess is that your sprites are "anti-aliased"; how else could a sprite movie lag?

I haven't seen much evolution since your last movies. What caught my attention the most was the shitty brownish text box.

This is an overrated series... seriously. What disgusts me the most are the "10 everywhere" reviews, saying how much your movie was perfect, when it wasn't. I'm done writing this review, now.

Cryokenetic responds:

It's my response, presented with facts:

The frame rate is at 18, not 12. I haven't noticed any lag on any opf the computers I "test" it on, so maybe it's your computer that's causing it.

The text boxes are ugly...I agree. But "brownish"? They're GRAY. How the hell do you get brown from that?

I appreciate your honesty and I it nice to get some negative feedback so I know what to change. But everyones tastes are different and the "10" reviews are their own opinions. Make fun of me, not my fans, all right?

I'm done responding to this review, now.

At least you tried.

To be honest, even if the FPS was relatively high for a sprite movie, the animation skills were still not good enough. Furthermore, the bat and yo-yo are supposed to be bigger and pixelated, please.

Respectable attempt at making flash, nevertheless.

It's great, don't get me wrong.

The way you draw facial expressions is unique, I like that. You don't even have time to get bored once, that's cool. The thing that caught my attention were the horrible sub-pixeled sprites. (did one of the sprites have a BK crown?)

BaconMask responds:

Yep, the "rouge" (My bad, rogues don't use magic!) had ye olde BK crown on... And, the sprites weren't bad, they just got pixelated upon compression. When you look at them un-compressed, they're gorgeous. Thanks a lot!

Déja-vu

You all hate Lillium because you know you will never be able to do something as good. You're so desperate that you try to parody/humiliate someone else's work. Artists don't do that kind of thing.

It was ok. *blah blah blah* [insert encouragement text here]

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

I never said I didnt like Lilium.

Uh-Oh! Moronic lecturing fucktard alert!

Once again a sprite movie falls victim to my rev.

Err... sub-par. The story isn't the most original I've seen, the animation was awkward and contained many traces of unnecessary humor.

Once in my life I wanna be just like the Comic Book Guy: Worst. Episode. Ever! (no, actually I've seen worse)

RebelliousStudios responds:

The story was a little more original around half a year ago when I originally made the series. But yeah, I tried to make it funny and I guess that you didn't find it that way.

Blam everything.
